Recap: Jasper Wildcats vs. Evansville Reitz Panthers
The Jasper Wildcats lost against the Evansville Reitz Panthers back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Jasper took a 46-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of Evansville Reitz. Jasper has not had much luck with Evansville Reitz recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Evansville Reitz's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Braylen Langley led the charge by scoring 12 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jayce Swanson, who scored 12 points.
Jasper's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Evansville Reitz, they pushed their record up to 4-5 with that victory, which was their third straight at home.
Jasper will take on Vincennes Lincoln at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Evansville Reitz, they will head out on the road to face off against Bedford North Lawrence at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Bedford North Lawrence will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
