Yorktown came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Delta Eagles 3-0. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

While Yorktown won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 26-24, 25-16.

Leading Yorktown to victory were Chloe Ritchie and Lydia Hazen. Ritchie had 17 digs and two assists, while Hazen had three aces. Those three aces gave Hazen a new career-high.

They weren't the only good server: Yorktown was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces every time they've taken the court this season.

Yorktown's record is now 5-1. As for Delta, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Yorktown will be taking part in a tournament against Zionsville at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Delta, they will be playing at home against Daleville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
