Baseball Recap: Hand Takes a Loss

Hand came into this matchup off a tough seven-run defeat on Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Amity Regional Spartans by a score of 4-2 on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Tigers have suffered since April 26, 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Hand and nudges their season record down to 5-4. As for Amity Regional, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hand will square off against Lyman Hall at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. The Trojans' pitching crew has only allowed 1.3 runs per game this season, so the Tigers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
