Soccer Game Preview: Meridian vs. Rock Ridge

The Meridian Mustangs are taking a road trip to challenge the Rock Ridge Phoenix at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Meridian is leaving town to face Rock Ridge after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. Meridian came up short against Annandale on Tuesday, falling 4-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Atoms: they've now lost three in a row.

Meanwhile, Rock Ridge fell victim to Loudoun County and their airtight defense on Thursday. They lost 8-0 to the Captains. The Phoenix have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
