Basketball Recap: Chattanooga Christian Takes a Loss

Chattanooga Christian played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 74-33 loss at the hands of the Tyner Academy Rams. The Chargers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-15.

Leading Tyner Academy to victory were Rodney Henderson III and Adarius Brewster. Henderson III went 8 for 14 on his way to 19 points in addition to seven boards and six assists, while Brewster went 8 of 11 on his way to 18 points and three steals. The match was Henderson III's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kalvontay Moore, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Chattanooga Christian's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Tyner Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season.

Chattanooga Christian will welcome Notre Dame at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Chattanooga Christian is facing Notre Dame at the right time seeing as Notre Dame is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Tyner Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 60-54 victory against Jackson on the 14th.
