Baseball Recap: Bolivar Central's Win Ends Three-Game Losing Streak at Home

It was a proper cat-fight when Bolivar Central took on Bolton on Monday. The Tigers never let the Wildcats get on the board and left with a 9-0 win. The Tigers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

Kaden Ubelhor made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Jake Kelly was excellent, going 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Clyne Walton also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Bolivar Central hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bolton struck out nine times.

Bolivar Central's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-11-1. As for Bolton, their loss was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-13.

Bolivar Central will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Wildcats: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
