Volleyball Recap: Nina Lapine and Sara Choka Secure Win for Millbrook

Millbrook won the last time they faced Ellenville and things went their way on Saturday too. The Blazers walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Blue Devils.

Millbrook easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-13.

Millbrook was led to victory by Sara Choka and Nina Lapine. Choka had six aces and four digs, while Lapine had six kills and two aces. That's the most aces Choka has posted since back in September of 2024.

The win got Millbrook back to even at 1-1.

Millbrook didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-1 draw against Marlboro Central on the 30th. As for Ellenville, they will take on Highland at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Blue Devils their first taste of in-conference action this season.
