Recap: Fenwick Friars vs. Providence-St. Mel Knights
The Fenwick Friars scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Providence-St. Mel for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-18 win at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Fenwick has managed all season.
When it comes to explaining why Providence-St. Mel lost, one person who can't be blamed is Robert Hughes Jr.. Despite the final result, he scored 14 points.
Fenwick's win bumped their record up to 14-8. As for Providence-St. Mel, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-15.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fenwick will take on the Meteors at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. De La Salle has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 439 points over their last six games. As for Providence-St. Mel, they will head out on the road to square off against the Pioneers at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully St. Francis de Sales focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up five last Friday.
