Mt. Vernon/Plankinton not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since November 23, 2024 (when they won 3-0). They put the hurt on the Chamberlain Cubs with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Cubs: they've now won six in a row.

Mt. Vernon/Plankinton never let Chamberlain on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 28-26, 25-14.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 5-8. As for Chamberlain, they dropped their record down to 2-5 with the loss, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Vernon/Plankinton will take on Lennox at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Chamberlain, they will face off against Jones County at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
