Basketball Game Preview: Winfield Pirates vs. Carbon Hill Bulldogs + How To Watch

Winfield is preparing for their first region matchup of the season on Friday. They will head out on the road to take on the Carbon Hill Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Carbon Hill will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Winfield extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday. The Pirates blew past Marion County 58-34. 58 seems to be a good number for the Pirates as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Carbon Hill). Everything went their way against Fayette County on Tuesday as they made off with a 76-56 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Bulldogs have posted against the Tigers since December 9, 2022.

Carbon Hill's victory bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Winfield, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Winfield couldn't quite get it done against Carbon Hill in their previous matchup back in February as they fell 67-56. Can the Pirates avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
