Soccer Recap: Penn Hills Takes a Loss

Penn Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Central Catholic Vikings, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, Penn Hills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 362nd, while Central Catholic are ranked 41st).

Penn Hills' loss dropped their record down to 4-13-1. As for Central Catholic, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Penn Hills will venture away from home to take on Springdale at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Catholic, they will head out to square off against North Allegheny at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. North Allegheny's last six contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
