Baseball Recap: Dunedin Drops Highest Score of Season Against Clearwater Central Catholic

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Dunedin). They came out on top against the Clearwater Central Catholic Marauders by a score of 6-1 on Thursday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Marauders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Cian Roche tossed a big game, striking out ten batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in strikeouts.

At the plate, Dunedin saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Madden James, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. James also put up an RBI, which washis first of the season.

Dunedin now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dunedin will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Wesley Chapel at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Clearwater Central Catholic, they will host Hollins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
