Basketball Recap: Twin Valley Find Success

Twin Valley won the last time they faced Springfield and things went their way on Saturday too. The Twin Valley Wildcats pulled ahead with a 58-57 photo finish over the Springfield Cosmos. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Twin Valley was led to victory by Brian Sullivan and Brayden Brown. Sullivan dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten boards, while Brown posted 22 points along with six assists and five boards. Brown is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 15 games he's played dating back to last season. Steve Oyer was another key player, putting up two points along with nine boards and five assists.

Twin Valley's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Springfield, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Twin Valley will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Poultney at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Springfield, they will head out to square off against Leland & Gray at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
