Soccer Recap: Gross Catholic Comes Up Short

Gross Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Roncalli Catholic Crimson Pride, falling 4-1. The contest was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Gross Catholic couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Jacob Heffelfinger, who's now up to two this season.

Gross Catholic now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Roncalli Catholic, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Gross Catholic is set to challenge their familiar foe Elkhorn at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Roncalli Catholic will square off against rival Ralston at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
