Recap: Beech Grove Hornets vs. Perry Meridian Falcons
The Beech Grove Hornets's game on Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They secured a 60-55 W over Perry Meridian. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Beech Grove to victory, but perhaps none more so than Cantrell Byrd, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Simeon Mcintosh, who scored 11 points along with 6 assists and 3 steals.
Beech Grove's victory bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Perry Meridian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-3.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Beech Grove will take on Speedway at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Perry Meridian, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Mooresville at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Mooresville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 last Wednesday.
