Football Recap: Danville Warriors vs. Cascade Cadets
Danville lost against Cascade back in August of 2018, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Warriors received a blow as they fell 41-25 to the Cadets.
When it comes to explaining why Danville lost, don't look at Carter Ward. Despite the final result, he threw for 184 yards and a pair of TDs. 87 of those passing yards were hauled in by Mason Shipley.
Cascade's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brady Trebley led the charge by rushing for 45 yards and two touchdowns, while also throwing for 93 yards and one TD while completing 76.9% of his passes. That's the most rushing yards Trebley has posted since back in September of 2024. Another player making a difference was Lucas Farmer, who rushed for 53 yards and a pair of scores.
Danville's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cascade, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
Danville wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 49-6 win against Anderson on the 5th. As for Cascade, they have also already played their next game, a 42-6 victory against North Putnam on the 5th.
