El Camino has gone 8-2 against Vista recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the El Camino Wildcats duke it out with the Vista Panthers at 7:00 p.m. El Camino will be strutting in after a win while Vista will be coming in after a loss.

On Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, El Camino beat La Costa Canyon 60-55.

Meanwhile, Vista was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were dealt an 82-53 loss at the hands of Carlsbad. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 334th, while the Lancers are ranked 26th).

Vista's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for El Camino, the victory got them back to even at 11-11.

El Camino strolled past Vista when the teams last played two weeks ago by a score of 70-55. The rematch might be a little tougher for El Camino since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
