Football Recap: Northern Cass' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

It was a good run, but Northern Cass unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They received a blow as they fell 28-12 to Ellendale/Edgeley/Kulm. The Jaguars were not able to make up for their defeat to Ellendale/Edgeley/Kulm from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Northern Cass lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Brooks Crockett, who picked up 126 receiving yards and a pair of TDs. Hudson Rietschel was another key player, having thrown for 387 yards and two touchdowns.

Even if they lost, Northern Cass' defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. Leading the way was Luke Walski with two.

Northern Cass' loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Ellendale/Edgeley/Kulm, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Northern Cass is set to challenge their familiar foe Valley City at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Ellendale/Edgeley/Kulm will square off against rival Oakes on Friday.
