Santa Rosa is 7-1 against Piner since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Panthers will take on the Prospectors at 7:00 p.m. Santa Rosa will be strutting in after a victory while Piner will be coming in after a loss.

On Friday, Santa Rosa earned a 27-18 win over Burbank.

One reason for the win was Santa Rosa's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. Jonathon Stephenson was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up four himself.

Meanwhile, Piner was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by Sonoma Valley and fell 48-0.

Piner's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Santa Rosa, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Santa Rosa lost to Piner on the road by a decisive 42-26 margin when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
