Baseball Recap: Monday's Win Is Lakeside School's 22nd in Last 23 Outings

It's playoff time, and Lakeside School had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Coosa Valley Academy Rebels on Monday. Six seems to be a good number for the Chiefs as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Lakeside School's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Demetrius Hardnett, who went 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits Hardnett has posted since April 5th. Brayden Vachon was another, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Lakeside School is on a roll lately: they've won 22 of their last 23 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 51-5 record this season. As for Coosa Valley Academy, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 17-22.

Looking ahead, Lakeside School will face off against Hope Christian Academy at 10:00 a.m. on May 7. Coosa Valley Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
