On Tuesday Luke Nelson struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. The performance marked the fewest earned runs Nelson has had since back in March. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his fourth in a row with more than five strikeouts. For the year, he has been strong no matter where he plays. On the mound, he has an ERA of 3.85 over 20 innings pitched. Meanwhile, at bat he has slashed 0.474/0.556/0.921 with 14 runs.
