Softball Recap: Boswell Comes Up Short

Boswell fell victim to Aledo and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They lost 7-0 to the Bearcats. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Pioneers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Boswell's defeat dropped their record down to 12-7. As for Aledo, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 22-3.

Boswell and Aledo should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Pioneers will challenge Weatherford at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday with a big rank advantage (150 vs. 359). Meanwhile, Aledo (ranked 15th) will meet Granbury (ranked 562nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in the Bearcats' favor as the squad sits on nine straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Pirates have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
