On the hitting side, Owen Morgan was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing Three bases. while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Ascher Morby was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing three innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Morby was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
In other pitching news, Garrett Draper looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Furthermore, he didn't allow a single earned run, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2024.
Back at the plate, Dylon Larson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Hunter Howard, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
