Preview: Paint Branch Panthers vs. Kennedy Cavaliers
The Paint Branch Panthers will be playing at home against the Kennedy Cavaliers at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Paint Branch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Monday.
After a string of six wins, Paint Branch's good fortune finally ran out. They lost to Blake on the road by a decisive 54-40 margin. Paint Branch has not had much luck with Blake recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
The losing side was boosted by Ryan Tientcheu, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Alim Sesay was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Meanwhile, even though Blair scored an imposing 58 points on Monday, Kennedy still came out on top. Kennedy strolled past Blair with points to spare, taking the game 77-58. The victory was familiar territory for Kennedy who now have four in a row.
Paint Branch's defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-3. As for Kennedy, their win bumped their record up to 9-4.
Paint Branch beat Kennedy 70-62 in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Will Paint Branch repeat their success, or does Kennedy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
