Volleyball Recap: Mission Vista's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Mission Vista waltzed into their match on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They blew past the Sage Creek Bobcats 3-0. For Mission Vista, this counts as revenge for the 3-2 win Sage Creek walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

Mission Vista walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-18, 25-14.

Leading Mission Vista to victory were Raquel Perez and Morgan Duse-Anthony. Perez had nine digs and two aces, while Duse-Anthony hit 85.7% for six kills and nine digs, three aces, and two blocks. That's the most aces Perez has posted over her last five matchups.

They weren't the only good servers: Mission Vista was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 12 aces in three consecutive contests.

Mission Vista's win bumped their record up to 15-7. As for Sage Creek, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 16-14.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mission Vista will square off against San Pasqual at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mission Vista are facing the Golden Eagles at the right time seeing as the Golden Eagles are stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Sage Creek, they will face off against Rancho Buena Vista at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
