Football Game Preview: Hartshorne Miners vs. Pocola Indians

The Hartshorne Miners will square off against the Pocola Indians at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Hartshorne is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Rejoice Christian just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Thursday. They were dealt a 49-14 defeat at the hands of the Eagles. The Miners were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-6.

Although Hartshorne took the loss, they still got scores from Raider Schoggins and Coen Johnson.

Meanwhile, Pocola was fully in charge on Thursday, breezing past Chouteau-Mazie 70-8. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won five games by 35 points or more so far this season.

Pocola has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.8 points on average over those games. As for Hartshorne, their loss dropped their record down to 4-3.
