Lake Minneola had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Forest Wildcats by a score of 6-2 on Monday. For the Hawks, this counts as revenge for the 11-3 win the Wildcats walked away with the last time they faced one another back in February of 2024.

Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Coming up, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Hawks challenge the Eagles at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Forest, they will take on Eustis in a tournament on Tuesday.
