Basketball Game Preview: Skyline Falcons vs. Erie Tigers

The Skyline Falcons are taking a road trip to take on the Erie Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Skyline will be strutting in after a victory while Erie will be coming in after a defeat.

Skyline is headed into the contest having just posted their biggest win since February 15, 2024 on Saturday. They breezed by Battle Mountain to the tune of 64-25.

Meanwhile, Erie was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 61-42 fall against Broomfield.

Despite the defeat, Erie saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Patrick Hahn went 5 of 9 on his way to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Callen Gebhardt, who posted nine points.

Skyline's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Erie, their loss dropped their record down to 7-7.

Skyline didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Erie in their previous meeting back in February of 2022, but they still walked away with a 49-44 win. Will Skyline repeat their success, or does Erie have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
