Softball Recap: Braden River Takes a Loss

Braden River was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They came up short against the Lakewood Ranch Mustangs, falling 18-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-2 back in February.

Braden River's loss dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Lakewood Ranch, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-8.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Braden River will venture away from home to take on Sarasota at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Sailors will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Pirates surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lakewood Ranch, they are taking a road trip to face off against Bishop Verot at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
