Softball Recap: King Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

King's game on Saturday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 17-4 margin over the Middleton Tigers. The Lions not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 6th (when they won 18-3).

King got a massive performance out of Cam Shaw, who went 3-for-4 with four runs and three RBI. Those three hits gave Shaw a new career-high. Angelina Mendoza was another key player, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with three RBI and two runs.

King moved to 4-12 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Middleton, they are on an 18-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-16.

King didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 23-0 defeat against Plant City on the 17th. As for Middleton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, an 18-1 loss against Armwood on the 17th.
