Scottsboro faced Bob Jones in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Tuesday. The Wildcats managed a 69-63 victory over the Patriots. Winning may never get old, but the Wildcats sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Defeat or not, Bob Jones got some senior leadership from Elise McClain and Ja'Kyah Smith. McClain went 10-for-17 to rack up 27 points, while Smith almost dropped a double-double with 14 points and nine rebounds. Smith is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last 18 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Alaya Obianozie, who posted five points.

Scottsboro's win bumped their record up to 20-2. As for Bob Jones, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 19-6.

Scottsboro has already played their next game, a 65-56 defeat against Fort Payne on the 27th. As for Bob Jones, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 49-40 victory against James Clemens on the 23rd.
