Volleyball Recap: Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee proved they can win big on Monday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 victory over the Habersham Central Raiders. Winning may never get old, but the Eagles sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-21, 22-25, 25-19, 25-10.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Emberlyn Casebolt out in front who had 15 digs. Those 15 digs gave Casebolt a new career-high.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 14 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least 14 aces in three consecutive matches.

Rabun Gap-Nacoochee's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Habersham Central, the loss snapped their winning streak at six games and leaves them with a 11-3 record.
