Football Game Preview: Geneva Knights vs. West Oaks Academy Flame

Geneva is on a three-game streak of home losses, and West Oaks Academy a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Wednesday. The Geneva Knights will be playing at home against the West Oaks Academy Flame at 6:30 p.m. Geneva has given up an average of 31.5 points per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Geneva is headed into the game out to prove that what happened against Trinity Prep on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Knights lost 41-20 to the Saints.

The losing side was boosted by Luke Gilmartin, who threw for 110 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 35 yards.

Meanwhile, West Oaks Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Saint Stephen's Episcopal last Friday and fell 28-26.

Geneva's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for West Oaks Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.
