The Medfield Warriors will face off against the Canton Bulldogs at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Medfield is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season.

Medfield is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Foxborough just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against Foxborough, falling 9-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which Medfield was not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, Canton won against Milford last Monday with 12 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Wednesday. The Bulldogs came out on top against Oliver Ames by a score of 12-8. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

The team relied heavily on Liam Connolly, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles. Brady Gibbons was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Medfield's defeat dropped their record down to 5-2. As for Canton, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-3-1.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Medfield has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.6 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Canton struggles in that department as they've been averaging 7.4 strikeouts.
