Basic faced Cimarron-Memorial in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. Basic blew past Cimarron-Memorial 3-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on March 12th.

Basic walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-19, 25-21.

Luke Dennett was the offensive standout of the contest as he had 17 assists and five digs.

Basic's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Cimarron-Memorial, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-10.
