Football Recap: Dunmore Bucks vs. Lackawanna Trail Lions

After flying high against Susquehanna last Sunday, Dunmore came back down to earth. The Bucks fell just short of the Lackawanna Trail Lions by a score of 30-28 on Friday. The Bucks were not able to make up for their defeat to the Lions from their previous meeting back in September of 2024.

It was another big night for Isaac Ryon, who rushed for 160 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 10.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 31 receiving yards and one touchdown for Lackawanna Trail. Ryon's rushing production has been exceptional as that marked his fifth straight game with at least 160 rushing yards dating back to last season. Tyler Jervis was another key player, throwing for 74 yards and two TDs on only five passes.

Dunmore's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Lackawanna Trail, their victory bumped their record up to 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dunmore will head out to face off against Carbondale Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Chargers will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Bucks surely won't give up without a fight. As for Lackawanna Trail, they are taking a road trip to take on Mid Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
