Softball Recap: McCook Central/Montrose Takes a Loss

McCook Central/Montrose lost against Scotland/Menno back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Fighting Cougars fell just short of the Trappers by a score of 6-5.

Mya Morrison made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Ashtyn Deknikker was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

McCook Central/Montrose now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Scotland/Menno, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Coincidentally, McCook Central/Montrose and Scotland/Menno will both be playing Hanson the next time they take the field. The Fighting Cougars will host the Beavers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Trappers will head out to face them at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
