Soccer Recap: Pioneer Now 3-1 over Last Four Games

With a playoff win on the line, Pioneer rose to the challenge on Thursday. They never let the Del Campo Cougars onto the board and left with a 4-0 win. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Patriots' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

They hit Del Campo with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Isaac Gonzalez (2), Omar Ramos, and Rafael Lopez.

Pioneer is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-6 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up one goal over those four games. As for Del Campo, their loss dropped their record down to 9-10.

Coming up, Pioneer will venture away from home to challenge Patterson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Patterson is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season. Del Campo does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
