Fallbrook was sadly handed a loss on Wednesday, but Hana Winton did her best to prevent it. Winton wasn't messing around, striking out eight batters over three innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. The pitching appearance was her third straight with two or fewer walks.

Looking ahead, Winton and Fallbrook will face off against Valley Center at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
