Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Richmond). They blew past the Hoke County Bucks 10-0 on Friday. The Raiders not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 29, 2024.

Caden Nolan was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Evan Hodges, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Jabari Douglas was another key player, scoring two runs while going 2-for-4.

Richmond always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in four consecutive matches.

Richmond now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Hoke County, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

As for Hoke County, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 13-2 defeat against Southern Lee on the 25th.
