There's no place like home for Monarch, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They had just enough and edged the Columbine Rebels out 12-11. That's more bragging rights for Monarch, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Mark Gleason, who fired off two home runs, four RBI, and a double while going 3-for-4. Chase Cowan was another key contributor, going 3-for-4 with four RBI, a run, and a double.

On Columbine's side, they got a good showing from Ian Alexander, who struck out six batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off five hits (and not a single walk).
