Basketball Game Preview: New Site Royals vs. Hickory Flat Rebels + How To Watch

New Site is a perfect 3-0 against Hickory Flat since November of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Royals will take on the Rebels in a tournament on Thursday. New Site is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.

On Tuesday, New Site didn't have too much trouble with Alcorn Central as they won 45-31. That's two games straight that the Royals have won by exactly 14 points.

New Site found their leader in sophomore Bella Green, who posted 15 points and six boards. Green is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Johna Lindley was another key player, putting up 11 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Hickory Flat strolled past Delta Academy with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 35-20.

Hickory Flat's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for New Site, their win bumped their record up to 3-0.

New Site took their victory against Hickory Flat when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 62-38 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Royals since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
