Softball Recap: Southwood Comes Up Short

Southwood was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their 22nd straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 19-1 to the Simsboro Tigers. The Cowboys were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2022.

Southwood saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sa'Derrica Lars, who scored a run while going 1-for-1. Khloe Kohlman also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Southwood's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Simsboro, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season.

Southwood will head out to face off against Pleasant Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Simsboro, they will take on Gibsland-Coleman at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
