Basketball Recap: Dominion Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Dominion can now relate to. They took a blow against the Heritage Pride on Wednesday, falling 66-36. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Pride this season, with their most recent loss being a 63-16 defeat back in January.

Alyssa Stanford continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Heritage, almost dropping a double-double with 17 points and nine boards. What's more, Stanford also posted a 50% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest she's achieved since back in December of 2024. Riley Makitka was another key player, putting up nine points along with eight steals and five assists.

Dominion has traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Heritage, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-3.

As of now, neither Dominion nor Heritage have any future games scheduled.
