Preview: Barringer Blue Bears vs. American History Bald Eagles
The Barringer Blue Bears will be home for the holidays to greet the American History Bald Eagles at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Barringer had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Shabazz on Saturday and snuck past 59-57.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, American History beat People's Prep 59-53 on Tuesday. 59 seems to be a good number for American History as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
American History's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ahmad Davis, who dropped a triple-double on 25 points, 12 rebounds, and ten steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ihjamir Williams, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 18 rebounds.
Barringer's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for American History, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
