Softball Recap: Marianna Falls Short of Taylor County in the Playoffs

Marianna and Taylor County squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Marianna had to settle for second. They lost 13-0 to Taylor County. That's two games in a row now that Marianna has lost by exactly 13 runs.

Marianna saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mabry Mitchell, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Marianna dropped their record down to 1-17 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Taylor County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-17.

Marianna does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Taylor County, they will challenge Florida State University High School at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bulldogs are facing the Seminoles at the right time seeing as the Seminoles are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
