Spearfish and Yankton squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Spearfish had to settle for second. They fell 12-7 to the Bucks/Gazelles. The defeat continues a trend for the Spartans in their meetings with the Bucks/Gazelles: they've now lost six in a row.

Spearfish's loss dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Yankton, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2.

Spearfish does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Yankton, they will square off against Sturgis Brown at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th.
