Recap: Cloverdale Clovers vs. South Putnam Eagles
The Cloverdale Clovers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 13th straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 63-47 to South Putnam. Cloverdale has not had much luck with South Putnam recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
South Putnam's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cam Bozell led the charge by scoring 18 points. Khalil Jefferson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 14 points and 11 rebounds.
Cloverdale's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for South Putnam, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-11 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cloverdale is on the road again on Tuesday and plays West Vigo at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. South Putnam will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Southmont at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. South Putnam is facing Southmont at the right time seeing as Southmont is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
