Basketball Recap: Chilton County's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Chilton County can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 61-53 victory over the Jemison Panthers. This was a revenge game for the Tigers: when they faced off against the Panthers back in December of 2024, they had to take a 78-71 defeat.

Cayden Meank continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 8 of 10 on his way to 21 points. Another player making a difference was Damarien Floyd, who posted 12 points.

Chilton County's win bumped their record up to 6-19. As for Jemison, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-9 record this season.

Chilton County wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 69-45 loss against Calera on the 3rd. As for Jemison, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 39-32 defeat against Montevallo on the 4th.
