            Saturday just wasn't the day for Thomas Jefferson's offense. They came up short against  the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks on Saturday, falling  15-0. Having soared to a lofty 14  runs in the game before, the Spartans' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
 Thomas Jefferson saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jesus Flores-Sanchez, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  double.
Thomas Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six games. That lines up perfectly with their 7-1-1 record  this season.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Thomas Jefferson will square off against Denver East at 4:15  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Cheyenne Mountain, they will head out to  challenge Lewis-Palmer  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Rangers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2  runs per game  this season, so the Red-Tailed Hawks' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
